LAWTON, OK – Sigma Tau Gamma Headquarters has learned that two brothers tragically passed away in a plane crash while vacationing in Hawaii on Monday, May 23. Philip Cabe, Cameron ’15 and Marshall Cabe, Cameron ’11 were members of our Gamma Rho Chapter at Cameron University.

Marshall was a 2014 graduate with a degree in Sports Management. Phillip graduated in December 2015 and also had a degree in Sports Management.

“I was just stunned when I got the call last night. My heart goes out to their families and to our Brothers at Cameron. I know that both of these men had a profound impact on their fellow Brothers. In fact, Marshall just joined the Alumni Association a few days ago. In time, our Brothers at Cameron will find a fitting way to honor their many contributions,” said Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity Chief Executive Officer Steve Latour.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cabe family and their loved ones, along with our Brothers at Cameron University in Lawton, OK. Headquarters is working with chapter leadership, local alumni, and campus administration to provide additional support and access to counseling resources for our members.

A Go Fund Me website has been set-up to help the family with funeral costs – https://www.gofundme.com/25u2cbac. At the time of this media release, service arrangements have not yet been made.
