Richard Harguindeguy, DMF, Senior Past President

Richard Harguindeguy was initiated at Beta Omicron Chapter (Northland College) where he served as chapter president, graduating in 1978. As an alumnus he has served as Foundation Trustee. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2002 and will complete 14 years of service on the Board at the end of this term. He was elected President-Elect in 2008 and served as the 36th National President from 2010 to 2012. He is a Distinguished Morris Fellow of the Wilson C. Morris Fellowship of honored Foundation donors.

“I stayed involved after undergrad and have not stopped doing what I can to make our organization the best it can be. I have been a member almost 40 years. I hope to be around another 40 years!” said Harguindeguy.

Professionally, Harguindeguy works as a Personal Stylist at Nordstrom. He previously worked in retail management roles with Woodward and Lothrop, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus in Washington D.C. and sold suits on Saks Fifth Avenue. After the passing of his father, Harguindeguy made the career decision to return to Nordstrom.

Harguindeguy lives in Arlington, Virginia with his partner and his black and white dog named Theo. In addition to his service with the Fraternity, he also attends neighborhood civic association meetings.
